Senior Technology Project Manager – Cybersecurity
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Technology Project Manager to lead complex cybersecurity initiatives across the enterprise. This individual will manage multiple large-scale projects within the Cybersecurity portfolio, partnering with technology, security, risk, compliance, and business teams to successfully deliver strategic initiatives while ensuring alignment with regulatory, audit, and risk management objectives.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading enterprise technology and cybersecurity projects within the banking or financial services industry. They are an effective communicator who can translate cybersecurity strategies into executable project plans, influence stakeholders across the organization, and drive successful delivery using Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
This role regularly interacts with executive leadership, cybersecurity teams, technology partners, risk management, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead enterprise cybersecurity and technology initiatives from planning through implementation.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource forecasts, and delivery roadmaps.
- Coordinate execution across multiple workstreams, business units, technology teams, and third-party vendors.
- Identify and manage cross-functional dependencies while ensuring projects remain on schedule and aligned with business objectives.
Governance & Executive Communication
- Prepare executive-level status reports highlighting project health, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, and key decisions.
- Facilitate steering committee meetings, governance reviews, and stakeholder discussions.
- Communicate project tradeoffs, impacts, and recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Maintain transparency into project performance, delivery metrics, and emerging risks.
Risk, Compliance & Controls
- Establish and maintain comprehensive RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Decisions) management processes.
- Proactively identify, assess, escalate, and mitigate project risks and delivery obstacles.
- Ensure projects comply with internal policies, cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations.
- Partner with Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Compliance, and Audit teams on remediation efforts and governance activities.
Project Delivery
- Translate cybersecurity strategies, regulatory commitments, and risk priorities into executable project plans.
- Monitor budgets, project timelines, resource allocation, and overall delivery performance.
- Resolve issues, remove roadblocks, and drive projects to successful completion.
- Promote project management best practices and continuous improvement across the portfolio.
Documentation & Audit Readiness
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready project documentation, including project plans, RAID logs, decision records, status reports, dependency trackers, meeting minutes, and governance materials.
- Ensure project documentation supports traceability, accountability, and compliance.
- Champion disciplined change management and adherence to established PMO standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of project or program management experience leading complex enterprise technology initiatives.
- 5+ years of project delivery experience within banking or financial services.
- Experience managing large-scale technology transformation projects with significant cross-functional dependencies.
- Strong executive communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority in a matrixed organization.
- Experience building and maintaining complex project plans, schedules, executive reporting, and dependency management.
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.

- Experience partnering with Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Experience supporting regulatory examinations, internal audits, remediation efforts, or enterprise risk reduction initiatives.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, or similar enterprise project management tools.
