Position Overview
Pandora-Gilboa High School is seeking a motivated, energetic, and student-centered individual to serve as the Head Baseball Coach. The successful candidate will provide leadership for all aspects of the baseball program while fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, accountability, and academic achievement.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the high school baseball program.
- Build positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, school staff, and the community.
- Promote character, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Collaborate with youth and junior high programs to develop a consistent philosophy throughout the district.
- Organize and supervise practices, competitions, off-season workouts, and summer activities in accordance with OHSAA regulations.
- Maintain inventory and care of equipment and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), Blanchard Valley Conference, Putnam County League, and district policies.
- Work cooperatively with the Athletic Director and school administration to support the mission of Pandora-Gilboa Local Schools.
Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to positively motivate and mentor student-athletes.
Must possess or be able to obtain all required coaching certifications, including:
- Pupil Activity Permit through the Ohio Department of Education
- Required OHSAA coaching certifications
Compensation
Salary will be based on the negotiated supplemental salary schedule and experience.
