    Position: Head Varsity Baseball Coach Application Deadline: Open Until Filled

    Position Overview Pandora-Gilboa High School is seeking a motivated, energetic, and student-centered individual to serve as the Head Baseball Coach. The successful candidate will provide leadership for all aspects of the baseball program while fostering a culture of excellence, sportsmanship, accountability, and academic achievement.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Lead and oversee all aspects of the high school baseball program.
    • Build positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, school staff, and the community.
    • Promote character, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
    • Collaborate with youth and junior high programs to develop a consistent philosophy throughout the district.
    • Organize and supervise practices, competitions, off-season workouts, and summer activities in accordance with OHSAA regulations.
    • Maintain inventory and care of equipment and facilities.
    • Ensure compliance with all Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA), Blanchard Valley Conference, Putnam County League, and district policies.
    • Work cooperatively with the Athletic Director and school administration to support the mission of Pandora-Gilboa Local Schools.

    Qualifications

    • Previous coaching experience is preferred.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to positively motivate and mentor student-athletes.

    Must possess or be able to obtain all required coaching certifications, including:

    • Pupil Activity Permit through the Ohio Department of Education
    • Required OHSAA coaching certifications

    Compensation Salary will be based on the negotiated supplemental salary schedule and experience.
