$21.41 - $28.69 per hour. Initial placement is restricted to a maximum of Step 5 ($26.02/hr) for external applicants. Internal employees who have completed 14 and/or 20 years of uninterrupted service to the District, shall be granted a longevity step.

Requirements

Must have Child Development Associate Teacher Permit and/or AA degree in ECE; 12 college units of Early Childhood Education coursework; valid First Aid and CPR cards; Health and Safety certification; prior experience in working with preschool age children; per AB792-proof of Flu, MMR and TDAP vaccinations at time of hire; passing a physical involving pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying at time of hire.

NCLB Requirement

To be considered for this position, you must also meet one of the following three requirements: (1) pass the written test; (2) possess an AA degree; or (3) have at least 48 college semester units.
