Head Sawyer Sawmill
We are seeking a skilled Head Sawyer to join our sawmill team. The Head Sawyer will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the sawmill, ensuring the production of high-quality lumber products and managing a team of sawyers.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and oversee the sawmill machinery and equipment
- Manage the sawmill team and assign tasks
- Ensure the production of lumber products meets quality standards
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety regulations
- Perform regular maintenance on sawmill equipment
- Monitor production output and make adjustments as needed
- Train new sawmill team members
Requirements:
- Prior experience working in a sawmill setting
- Proven experience operating sawmill equipment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of safety regulations in a sawmill setting
