Job Summary

The Head of Solutions Delivery is a key member of the IT Leadership Team. This position primarily focuses on ensuring the delivery of IT solutions by defining customer centric solutions, building testing and implementing all aspects of information security to achieve committed business outcomes. Accountable for the operational stability and quality metrics as well as the health of applications and disaster recovery readiness.

The Head of Solutions Delivery manages a team of senior level directors responsible for influencing business strategies and enabling technology and data roadmaps. Lines of business to include:

Community Banking

Private Bank

Corporate Banking

Shared Services

Testing Center of Excellence

The Head of Solutions Delivery will own the software development lifecycle methodologies and provide technical leadership to engineering and development teams as well as foster a culture of innovation, quality and continuous improvement. Oversees the design of complex software systems while incorporating human-centric design principles and facilitate design thinking workshops to create intuitive solutions. Provides technical thought leadership and consultation to the heads of the business lines monthly to review priorities and project performance. Lead the adoption of Agile thinking and the utilizing modern ways of building technology and data solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead delivery of key solution technology initiatives and solution projects across the full infrastructure project portfolio.
  • Ensure established project process and methodologies are followed.
  • Ensure solutions operations performs at or above SLA and business disruption is minimized through rigorous standards, processes, and execution.
  • Build and manage top-flight technology solutions through strong talent management practices; including but not limited to developing talent hubs geographically to ensure the right talent is represented within the organization.
  • Monthly regulatory reporting to the FRB and OCC with updates.
  • Quarterly updates presented to the CIO and to the technology board committee.
  • Develop policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, and implementation of enterprise solutions.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts and standards for common technologies.
  • Develop and maintain current and planned state solution blueprints.
  • Participate in the creation and execution of the technology strategy for solution platforms, partnerships and external relationships.
  • Works with lines of business to request opex and capex investments.
  • Uses independent judgement and discretion to make decisions.
  • Analyzes and resolves problems.
  • May be responsible for talent management functions including: employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning and ensuring all staff comply with compliance requirements.

ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Required Qualifications:

  • Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent.
  • Minimum 15+ years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience working as a Sr. Manager, Director, VP or CIO.
  • 10+ years experience managing large cross-functional teams and large domains of business technology with strategically influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.
  • 10+ years experience developing and administering budgets within 1% to forecast.
  • 10+ years experience of large bank including OCC and regulatory oversight.

Job Competencies:

  • Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
  • Technical knowledge of different operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Linux, Unix.
  • Demonstrated success in applying best practice solutions to achieve desired results.
  • Proven ability ensuring technical infrastructure performs according to customer and market demands for service and security.
  • A proven track record of achieving results in challenging environments.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • A respected reputation for partnership and collaboration with Operations, Technology, Line of Business partners and shared service functions.
  • Demonstrated competence in leading managers and teams and building teamwork to achieve exceptional results.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver large, transformational programs and projects.
