Head Of HrOur client is a rapidly growing, private equity-backed services organization operating across multiple locations and experiencing significant expansion through both organic growth and acquisitions. As the business enters its next stage of maturity, it is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Head of HR to build scalable people strategies, support growth initiatives, and serve as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing leadership group where decisions are made quickly, accountability is expected, and individuals are empowered to make a real impact on the business.Key responsibilities:Lead the HR function and act as a strategic partner to executive leadershipDevelop and execute talent, retention, succession, and workforce planning strategiesOversee payroll operations and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and employment legislationPartner closely with operational leaders to support a large, field-based workforceLead HR due diligence, integration planning, and people-related workstreams for mergers and acquisitionsStandardize policies, processes, and practices across acquired businessesEnsure adherence to safety, compliance, and risk management programsManage employee relations, performance management, and leadership development initiativesBuild scalable HR infrastructure capable of supporting future growthDrive organizational change and support business transformation initiativesDevelop and mentor HR team members while establishing a high-performance cultureApplicants must be able to clearly demonstrate previous experience in the following areas:Payroll leadership and oversightHR compliance and employment law knowledgeWorkplace safety programs and complianceMergers & Acquisitions (HR due diligence and integration)Leadership and team management experienceExperience within a Private Equity-backed business environmentConstruction, infrastructure, industrial services, field services, or similar operational industriesBuilding and improving HR processes in growing organizationsOperating effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environmentsEssential behaviors to succeed in the role:Highly accountable and results-orientedComfortable making decisions with imperfect informationCommercially astute and business-mindedStrong problem-solving capabilityHands-on leadership styleAble to earn credibility with both executive leaders and frontline operationsResilient, adaptable, and action-orientedThe ideal candidate will bring:10-12+ years of progressive HR experienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related disciplineStrong exposure to multi-site and operational workforcesDemonstrated success supporting business growth through acquisition and integrationExperience partnering directly with CEOs, founders, private equity sponsors, and executive teamsProven ability to balance strategic leadership with tactical executionStrong communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skillsTrack record of building scalable people infrastructure in high-growth environmentsThis is a highly specific and confidential search.
