Head of Aviation Solutions

Working closely with Product, Sales, Capture, Programs, Operations, Engineering, Contracts, Legal, Finance, and external partners, the position will define scalable aviation solutions, support major pursuits, shape customer requirements, and help S2 Global pursue, price, win, and execute complex airport security programs in the United States and international markets. has three operating divisions: (a) Security, providing security and inspection systems, turnkey security screening solutions and related services; (b) Healthcare, providing patient monitoring, diagnostic cardiology and anesthesia systems; and (c) Optoelectronics and Manufacturing, providing specialized electronic components and electronic manufacturing services for original equipment manufacturers with applications in the defense, aerospace, medical and industrial markets, among others.

Focused on Operations, Integration and Training, S2 Global’s solutions ensure that customers have the advanced technologies and sophisticated techniques to significantly increase their screening capabilities.

 

S2 Global is seeking a Head of Aviation Solutions to lead the strategy, development, and growth of S2 Global’s aviation product portfolio, with primary focus on TSA Screening Partnership Programs (SPP) offerings and international aviation turnkey opportunities. This role will serve as the product and solution leader for airport security screening programs that combine technology, workforce, operations, maintenance, and integrated services under TSA oversight and global aviation security standards.

 

Working closely with Product, Sales, Capture, Programs, Operations, Engineering, Contracts, Legal, Finance, and external partners, the position will define scalable aviation solutions, support major pursuits, shape customer requirements, and help S2 Global pursue, price, win, and execute complex airport security programs in the United States and international markets.

 

The ideal candidate is a commercially minded aviation security leader with strong product, program, and customer-facing experience. Experience with TSA, airport screening operations, public-private security models, screening technology, or aviation security contracting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Lead S2 Global’s aviation product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market execution, with primary focus on TSA SPP offerings and international aviation turnkey solutions.
• Serve as the product and solution lead for TSA SPP pursuits, helping define offerings that integrate screening technology, staffing models, maintenance, cybersecurity, program management, quality control, and transition services.
• Translate TSA, airport, and international customer requirements into scalable solution architectures, commercial models, proposal content, and executable delivery plans.
• Partner with Sales, Capture, Programs, Operations, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Contracts to pursue, price, negotiate, and execute complex aviation security opportunities.
• Develop and maintain product positioning, solution narratives, customer presentations, competitive differentiators, pricing inputs, and executive briefing materials for aviation pursuits.
• Evaluate aviation market trends, TSA SPP requirements, airport modernization priorities, and international screening needs to identify new product, partnership, and growth opportunities.
• Build and manage relationships with airports, government agencies, OEMs, technology providers, systems integrators, staffing partners, and other aviation security stakeholders.
• Support international turnkey aviation opportunities by aligning S2 Global capabilities with airport screening operations, checkpoint design, baggage screening, remote operations, command-and-control, analytics, and lifecycle support needs.
• Provide leadership and subject matter expertise during customer meetings, industry events, demonstrations, site visits, proposal reviews, and executive-level strategy sessions.
• Establish metrics, pipeline visibility, and operating rhythms to track aviation product performance, pursuit status, partner activity, risks, and growth priorities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, technology, international relations, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Former experience working for or with TSA is a plus.
• 10 years experience in strategic partnerships, business development, technical sales support, capture, product management, consulting, or complex solution selling.
• Strong ability to build trust with internal stakeholders, customers, consultants, and external partners.
• Ability to understand technical products and services and translate them into customer and partner value propositions.
• Experience supporting proposals, teaming agreements, customer presentations, partner briefings, or contract-related workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare executive-ready summaries and customer-facing materials.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
• Experience using CRM tools to manage opportunities, partner activity, and pipeline-related actions.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, Capture, Programs, Legal, Contracts, Finance, Compliance, and Engineering teams.
• This position may require domestic and international travel.
• Experience with aviation, customs, border security, inspection technology, cloud platforms, AI/data products, or government customers is a plus.

Pay may range $210,000 to $220,000 annually

The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.

 

Base salary is one component of your total rewards package. You may be eligible for long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discounted rate through the Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP).
