Company Summary: A large, globally recognized financial services organization is seeking a Head of Accounts Payable to lead enterprise-wide accounts payable and vendor lifecycle operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, strong governance, regulatory compliance, and continuous process improvement across a complex, multi-entity environment. The role will partner closely with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Human Resources, Technology, Operations, Legal, and other business stakeholders to enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and support strategic transformation initiatives.

Head of Accounts Payable Responsibilities

• Lead accounts payable and vendor management operations across a complex organization.
• Ensure accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and strong internal controls.
• Monitor KPIs, compliance requirements, and operational performance.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements.
• Partner with key business stakeholders on audit, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Develop and lead a high-performing team.

Head of Accounts Payable Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of Accounts Payable leadership experience, preferably in a highly regulated environment.
• Coming from Banking or Financial Services.
• Strong knowledge of AP operations, procure-to-pay processes, and financial controls.
• Experience with large ERP systems and AP automation platforms.
