We are growing rapidly and looking for high performers at every level to grow with us.POSITION SUMMARY:The Head Lifeguard position is responsible for the safety of all guests in and near the pool area and providing direction to lifeguards on shift to maintain safety wellness of guests and Team Members alike. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:Enforcing all pool rulesPreventing injuries and minimizing hazardous situationsProvides patron surveillance whenever a patron is swimmingProvides effective leadership and direction to lifeguards Ensures lifeguard staffing, coverage and job duties are compliant with all required standards & regulationsInstruct various ages in, water safety, and any other aquatic programmingAssign cleaning dutiesAttending in-service training as scheduledProvide courteous and friendly first-in-class guest serviceAssists with conducting aquatics safety audits and reportingAssists with executing private events or special events Supervise the daily cleaning and maintenance of all Aquatic areasSupervise chlorine/ PH levels for the pools Completing other duties as assignedBe knowledgeable about facility programs (format, pricing, meeting dates/times) Be knowledgeable of and enforce venue policies and procedures Professionally resolve guest concerns and complaints and/or direct to appropriate manager Maintain a clean space and perform regular walk-throughs (indoor/outdoor) to ensure venue cleanlinessSupervise and enforce rules during eventsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Current certification in Deep Water Lifeguard Training by the American Red Cross and First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards or able to complete training and earn certification within 30 days of hireCurrent American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor certification, or will acquire within the first 2 months of employmentExperience in customer service, leadership, and team buildingMust be 18 years of age or olderWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in outside weather conditionsWill be exposed to outside temperatures ranging from 80-105 degreesExposure to cleaning chemicals that must be handled with extreme cautionMust be able to lift 50 pounds waist highMay be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, bend, carry, lift, pull, and pushFacility has intermittent noiseWill be required to use hands and fingers, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and armsWill be required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlWill occasionally lift, pull, push and/or move heavy items
