The Wisconsin Heights School District is seeking an Head Girls Softball Coach for the 2026-2027 season. A strong softball program relies on exceptional leadership, skill development, and character building. The Head Softball Coach will lead, train, and inspire student-athletes on fundamental softball skills, game strategy, and sportsmanship, while promoting injury prevention and healthy athletic habits. The Head Coach will collaborate with assistant coaches, school staff, and the Athletics Director to build a competitive program that fosters a culture of belonging, teamwork, and community.
Duties:
Create, implement, and facilitate a comprehensive softball program for student-athletes that focuses on skill development, strategic play, and team culture.
Collaborate with assistant coaches and the Athletics Director to set team goals, manage practice schedules, and support overall program success.
Manage softball equipment, field maintenance needs, and uniforms.
Lead out-of-season open gyms, summer contact days, and skill development opportunities in accordance with WIAA regulations.
Build positive relationships with middle school programs to foster long-term student-athlete development and engagement.
Serve as a positive role model, instilling values of sportsmanship, discipline, and academic accountability.
Wisconsin Heights is situated just 20 minutes west of Madison, in the picturesque Driftless Area. Our district spans approximately 100 square miles, covering the Black Earth and Mazomanie region. This area is rich in recreational opportunities and steeped in history.
