Position Overview
Osceola High School is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to serve as the Head Dance Coach for the OHS competition dance team. This position is responsible for leading a program that emphasizes skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and student-athlete growth. The Fall season involves half time performances at OHS Football games and pep fests, and is used to develop choreography for the Winter competition season. The Winter season includes half time performances at OHS basketball games and pep fests, culminating in the Wisconsin Association of Cheer/Pom Coaches (WACPC) Regionals and possibly State Competitions.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the high school dance program.
Provide expertise in choreography for the OHS competition dance team.
Develop practice plans and competition strategies that promote player development.
Foster a positive team culture built on accountability, respect, and effort.
Monitor academic progress and promote academic success of student-athletes.
Communicate effectively with players, parents, school staff, and administration.
Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and WACPC rules and regulations.
Coordinate team logistics including scheduling, transportation, and equipment.
Organize offseason training opportunities and summer programming.
