Position Summary:

Administration includes but is not limited to recruitment and development of players, adherence to relevant policies and procedures, budget accountability, travel logistics, competition, and fundraising.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintain the highest degree of ethical, safety, and legal standards in fulfilling the university''s mission and success of the rugby club sports program
• Recruit qualified student-athletes who will perform at a high level academically, ethically, and athletically -Manage the A-State Rugby Club's strategic development, annual training plans, utilization of resources and facilities, budget, and fundraising efforts
• Promote contemporary coaching practices and relevant skill and fitness requirements -Measure, monitor, and evaluate the development and performance of athletes and assist in talent identification. Possess a thorough understanding of eligibility criteria to participate in relevant competitions
• Implement standards to assist students'' fulfillment of their degree requirements and degree progression
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of academic policies; knowledge of USA Rugby policies.

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Weekends/Travel

Additional hours as requested and/or needed

Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Bachelor''s Degree is required

Must possess experience in advising and recruiting students, academic policy, and experience working with student-athletes.

Candidate must also obtain certification as a coach through USA Rugby and maintain knowledge of USA Rugby policies and procedures to keep the program, players, and affiliates in good standing and compliance
