Head Cashier (Full Time)

 

Agri Supply is seeking a full-time Head Cashier for our Petersburg, VA, store. This position interacts with customers, providing a positive experience and ensuring that other cashiers are prepared to do the same, and manages all store funds while maintaining a current record of all Accounts Receivable daily. 

 

Supervisory Responsibility:
Actively participate in hiring, training and mentoring of all cashiers. Facilitate training on all cash handling and associated front end procedures. 

During the job, employees are regularly required to stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods, use their hands to handle or control objects, and perform tasks that involve reaching, climbing, kneeling, or crouching. The role involves frequently lifting or moving up to 25 pounds, with occasional requirements to handle more with assistance or equipment. Employees must also be able to push and pull using various equipment. Specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, are necessary. Verbal communication and the ability to hear are also required for safety and coordination.

The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment can get loud at times.
