    Experience

    as

    head

    coach

    preferred;

    Valid

    CPR

    and

    First

    Aid

    cards;

    Coach

    must

    be

    a

    high

    school

    graduate

    or

    have

    completed

    a

    graduation

    equivalency

    diploma

    (GED)

    program

    and

    be

    at

    least

    21

    years

    of

    age

    to

    be

    a

    head

    coach;

    Ability

    to

    maintain

    strong,

    productive

    relationships

    with

    other

    employees,

    parents,

    and

    students;

    Ability

    to

    work

    under

    pressure,

    to

    pay

    attention

    to

    detail,

    to

    concentrate,

    and

    to

    follow

    Working Conditions: Physical Requirements: The Head Coach role involves frequent movement, including standing

    for

    extended

    periods,

    walking,

    running,

    bending,

    and

    demonstrating

    physical

    activities

    during

    practices

    and

    games.

    The

    position

    may

    require

    occasional

    lifting

    or

    carrying

    of

    equipment

    weighing

    up

    to

    50

    pounds.

    Coaches

    must

    have

    the

    stamina

    to

    lead

    practices,

    manage

    game-day

    responsibilities,

    and

    actively

    engage

    with

    athletes

    during

    training

    and

    competition.

    The

    role

    may

    involve

    travel

    to

    and

    from

    games,

    tournaments,

    or

    events,

    which

    could

    include

    evening

    and

    weekend

    hours.

    Work

    Environment:

    Work

    is

    performed

    in

    gymnasiums,

    weight

    rooms,

    locker

    rooms,

    and

    outdoor

    athletic

    facilities,

    depending

    on

    team

    needs

    and

    weather

    conditions.

    The

    noise

    level

    is

    often

    moderate

    to

    loud

    due

    to

    athletic

    activity,

    crowds,

    and

    equipment

    use.

    The

    coach

    is

    responsible

    for

    the

    safety

    and

    well-being

    of

    student-athletes

    and

    must

    remain

    alert

    and

    responsive

    during

    all

    team

    activities.

    This

    position

    requires

    close

    collaboration

    with

    school

    staff,

    parents,

    students,

    and

    community

    members

    and

    demands

    a

    professionalism
