Description

Title:               Laboratory Technician
Location:        Jurupa Valley, CA, 91752
Duration:        0-6+ Months (Temp to hire, depending on performance)
Pay Rate:        $33.70/Hour on W2.
 
Overview:
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing routine and non-routine analytical and physical testing to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures product quality, maintains laboratory equipment, and supports safety and compliance standards. The position requires a self-motivated individual who can operate with minimal supervision, prioritize daily tasks effectively, and deliver accurate, timely results in a fast-paced production environment. With 3-5+ prior years of experience in a laboratory environment. This cannot be someone who is new to working in a lab. The role is minimally managed, so this would be good fit for a candidate with strong iniative, who is self-motivated and has the ability to manage their own time to complete required tests throughout the day. The lab primary runs 4 tests to sample their materials/product: MFI Testing, Moisture Testing, Flake Analyzer, and Ash Testing. Training will be provided on lab machines and test process. The role uses LIMS software.
 
Responsibilities:
Adhere to all site safety requirements with a goal of zero safety incidents.
Actively participate in safety initiatives, including safety meetings, behavioral-based observations, and audits.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment.
Perform routine and non-routine analytical and physical testing on in-process materials, finished products, and other samples.
Conduct key testing procedures
Ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of test results.
Document, review, and communicate analytical results in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records using LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
Archive data in compliance with internal quality and regulatory standards.
Test and verify quality control standards to ensure validity and integrity of results.
Identify and report any deviations or inconsistencies in test outcomes.
Perform routine calibration of laboratory equipment and maintain associated documentation.
Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and conduct minor equipment maintenance as needed.
Assist in maintaining optimal performance and reliability of lab instruments.
Manage daily workflow independently, prioritizing multiple tasks effectively in a minimally supervised environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3–5+ years of experience working in a laboratory environment (manufacturing or industrial setting preferred).
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Proficiency in computer systems and software applications, including LIMS or similar systems.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with polymer or materials testing methods (MFI, moisture, ash, flake analysis).
Experience in a manufacturing or production-support laboratory.
