JOB TITLE: HATCHERY SUPERVISOR
LOCATION: ELLIJAY, GA

SUMMARY:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise driver fleet, both chick delivery and egg pickup. Responsible for all Pilgrim''s Pride and DOT transportation related records and reports. Responsible for GPS system reviews.
- Supervise egg procurement and set/set schedule.
- Supervise inovojection process and transfer crews.
- Assist in the supervision of production and maintenance through production supervisor and maintenance AA partner.
- Serve as backup to SAP Buy It/SAP Grow It/Timekeeping.
- Maintain safe work environment, conduct safety training and safety meetings as scheduled. Conduct weekly safety inspection.
- Supervisory responsibilities for personnel assigned, including hiring, scheduling, disciplinary procedures, evaluations, etc.
- Supervision of other hatchery departments as necessary to cover vacations or leaves.
- Promote continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned by plant manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High School or GED, College Degree Preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Three years hatchery or live production experience and/or three years plant supervisor experience.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Good people skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills; including working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Word and Excel.
- SAP experience preferred.
- Good safety record.
- Able to serve on call nights and weekends as scheduled
