    Description

    Job Title: Harvest - Laborer
    Location: Ottawa Lake, MI 49267
    Duration: 3-Month Contract

    Responsibilities:
    • Assist with truck loading/unloading and storage operations.
    • Support management team with operational activities related to the storage and movement of seed.
    • Operate skid steer loader and/or pay loader (previous experience preferred).
    • Follow all safety procedures outlined in company policies.
    • Work cooperatively with management team and co-workers.
    • Perform any other duties assigned by Supervisor.

    Qualifications:
    • Good organizational skills.
    • Willingness and ability to learn new responsibilities.
    • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
    • Commitment to achieving a zero-injury culture and adherence to company procedures.
    • Ability to learn and understand necessary quality controls and procedures.
    • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to plan, organize, and perform with limited supervision.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Reliable and consistent attendance.
    • Ability to meet physical requirements, including:
    • Prolonged standing and sitting.
    • Working in confined spaces and at heights.
    • Bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders.
    • Working in varied conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.).
    • Lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
    • Willingness to:
    • Work shifts with variable start times, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • Work overtime during seed and harvest seasons.
    • Demonstrated initiative to work independently while maintaining flexibility to work in a team setting.
    • Maintain a professional image, positive attitude, and respectful demeanor at all times.
