Role: Hardware Test Engineer
Location: Louisville, CO | Full-time | On-site
Compensation: $100k - $130k + Equity (competitive)

About the Role
This is your opportunity to join an innovative AR/defense tech startup as a Hardware Test Engineer. You’ll design, implement, and execute plans to test computer hardware and optical systems, ensuring products meet stringent specifications. If you thrive on hands-on testing, solving complex hardware problems, and collaborating with engineers across disciplines, this is the role for you.

What You Will Do

  • Test & Validate Hardware – Develop and execute test plans for hardware and optical systems, debugging issues and ensuring functionality.

  • End-to-End Ownership – Own test setups, equipment, and processes, providing actionable results to engineering teams.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with design engineers, vendors, and partners to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Continuous Improvement – Design new test fixtures and tools, implement hardware validations, and improve existing processes.

  • Technical Support – Assist technicians and engineering teams in troubleshooting and testing.

  • Travel – Up to 10% for supplier or lab visits.

  • Strong experience in hardware testing, Python, and optical system validation.

  • Attention to detail and ability to detect subtle failures or inconsistencies.

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical results clearly.

  • Aptitude for designing and implementing test tools and processes.

  • Hands-on problem solver with a bias for action.

Compensation & Perks

  • Salary – $100k - $130k
