These products are designed to secure highly sensitive and classified data across government, defense, and mission-critical environments.
This role requires deep technical expertise in storage technologies and strong cross-functional leadership to drive product development from concept through production and certification. Key Responsibilities Product Strategy & Roadmap
Define and own the long-term roadmap for secure SSD product portfolio
Lead development of next-generation SSD platforms (e.g., M.2, BGA, U.2, server architectures)
Establish product requirements aligned with performance, power, and OEM integration needs
Develop strategies aligned with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) initiatives and evolving federal standards
Technical Leadership
Serve as subject matter expert in SSD technologies, including NAND, controllers, firmware, and storage protocols
Guide architecture decisions across the storage stack
Identify and mitigate technical risks early in the product lifecycle
OEM & Ecosystem Integration
Ensure compatibility across laptops, servers, rugged systems, and embedded platforms
Collaborate with OEM and hardware partners to meet system-level requirements
Address considerations related to power, thermals, performance, and firmware integration
Security & Compliance
Drive alignment with industry and federal security standards (e.g., FIPS 140-3, NIAP, CSfC)
Support certification processes and coordination with testing labs
Integrate post-quantum cryptography requirements into product strategy
Supplier & Manufacturing Coordination
Partner with controller vendors and storage solution providers
Support scalable manufacturing strategies, including domestic production initiatives
Ensure product readiness for volume production and supply chain reliability
Cross-Functional Leadership
Collaborate with engineering, product management, sales, and executive stakeholders
Support technical customer engagements and product positioning
Contribute to overall strategy in secure storage solutions
Required Qualifications
Deep expertise in solid state storage technologies (NAND, controllers, firmware, storage protocols)
Experience managing storage products or platforms
Strong understanding of OEM hardware environments and integration requirements
Proven ability to define technical product requirements and system architecture
Experience working with storage vendors and ecosystem partners
U.S. citizenship with eligibility for government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with secure or encrypted storage solutions
Familiarity with FIPS 140-3, NIAP, and CSfC standards
Background in government, defense, or regulated environments
Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography (PQC)
Experience with OEM hardware platforms (e.g., laptops, servers, embedded systems)
