Job Title: Hardware Engineer Level 5
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 12 Months
Payrate: $100 to $125 per hour on W2.

Responsibilities:
  • You will join a group of dedicated, enthusiastic, and dynamic team players in the Memory Tester Business Unit designing IC testers for the DRAM and Flash memory market
  • Own board level design for large-scale, multi-board hardware systems
  • Execute end-to-end hardware development, from concept through design, test, manufacture, and customer release
  • Design hardware for complex high-speed digital, analog, power, FPGA, and ASIC-based designs
  • Provide technical direction and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Ensure robust product quality through high-speed design practices and basic understanding of signal integrity and power integrity concepts
  • Execute hardware architecture decisions aligned to customer needs
  • Act as a technical escalation point to solve complex design and customer issues and perform root cause analysis for mission critical applications
  • Develop scalable, high-quality production hardware solutions through collaborative processes

Must Have:
  • Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, or relevant field
  • 12+ years of experience in hardware and board design with demonstrated ownership of complex systems from concept through production
  • Experience designing all aspects of board level circuitry, including high speed digital, custom analog design, power distribution, and FPGA-based systems, with knowledge of mechanical and thermal considerations
  • Prior experience with high-speed interconnects (DDR, PCIe, USB, SerDes) and PCB design techniques including application of signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) concepts
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional development efforts to deliver innovative hardware solutions
  • Strong communications skills and the ability to work with geographically dispersed multifunctional teams
  • Proven ability to mentor, guide, and influence peers and junior engineers
  • Experience working with customers, partners and suppliers on complex technical issues and applications
  • Strong reasoning skills and collaborative approach to problem solving
  • Works with limited direction; can identify and propose solutions to design challenges
