We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Hardscape Foreman to lead a small field crew in the installation of patios, retaining walls, walkways, and other outdoor living features.

This position is ideal for a skilled hardscape professional who enjoys working alongside their crew, organizing daily jobsite activities, and taking pride in delivering exceptional finished projects.

As our Hardscape Foreman, you won't simply oversee the work -- you'll be actively involved in installations, supporting your team, and ensuring every project meets our standards for safety, efficiency, and quality.

During the winter months, our crews transition into commercial snow and ice removal, equipment upkeep, and related maintenance activities.

What You'll Be Responsible For

As our Hardscape Foreman, you will lead a small crew while working directly alongside your team to complete residential and commercial hardscape installations.

You will be responsible for organizing daily work, maintaining installation quality, supporting crew productivity, and communicating effectively with project managers, customers, and office personnel.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting a hardscape crew of 1-2 additional employees on residential and commercial projects
• Performing and overseeing the installation of paver patios, concrete patios, walkways, retaining walls, and outdoor living features
• Completing hands-on hardscape construction, concrete work, and basic masonry tasks
• Reading and following blueprints, site plans, construction layouts, and project specifications
• Organizing daily work assignments and coordinating materials, tools, and equipment to maintain efficient project progress
• Operating skid steers, compactors, cutting saws, and other hardscape construction equipment
• Ensuring installations follow proper construction methods, accurate measurements, and company quality standards
• Providing practical instruction, guidance, and support to crew members throughout the workday
• Identifying and resolving routine jobsite challenges to keep projects progressing safely and efficiently
• Maintaining clean, organized, and professional jobsite conditions
• Following all company safety policies and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment
• Communicating project progress, material needs, questions, and updates to project managers, customers, and office personnel
• Assisting with commercial snow and ice removal operations during the winter season, including plowing, shoveling, snow blowing, and salting
• Working flexible hours during snow events, including overnight, early-morning, weekend, and extended shifts when necessary

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a skilled hardscape professional who understands proper installation techniques, communicates effectively, and can lead a small crew through example.

What we're looking for:

• High school education
• At least 2 years of professional experience in hardscaping, concrete work, masonry, or closely related outdoor construction
• Previous experience leading or supervising a small crew in hardscaping, landscaping, construction, or outdoor services
• Strong working knowledge of paver installation, retaining walls, patios, walkways, and related hardscape construction methods
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, layouts, site plans, and project specifications
• Experience operating skid steers, compactors, cutting saws, and other common hardscape equipment
• Ability to organize daily work, coordinate materials, and maintain crew productivity
• Strong practical mathematics, measuring, and problem-solving abilities
• Previous experience driving a pickup truck with an attached trailer is required
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with a clean driving record
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to use a smartphone or similar device for jobsite communication and reporting
• Physical capability to lift more than 50 pounds and perform demanding outdoor construction work
• Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year
• Ability to successfully complete a background check following a conditional employment offer

Compensation and Employee Benefits

Pay and employment

• $25 - $30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• Full-time, year-round W-2 employment
• Overtime opportunities

Vacation, sick leave, and holidays

• 80 hours of paid vacation annually, increasing by 8 hours after the first year of employment, up to a maximum of 120 hours after five years
• 80 hours of unpaid vacation annually
• 24 hours of paid sick leave annually
• Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve

• Health insurance reimbursement covering 50% of monthly costs, up to $225 per month
• 401(k) retirement plan with a 100% company match on the first 3% of contributions and a 50% match on the next 2%, providing a maximum 4% employer match when contributing 5%
