About the Role:
Chefness Gourmet Foods LLC is looking for a skilled and reliable Handyman to join our team in Hallandale, FL! In this hands-on role, you'll keep our facility running smoothly by tackling a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. If you love solving problems and take pride in a well-maintained workspace, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance throughout the facility
- Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues as needed
- Conduct general repairs including drywall, painting, carpentry, and flooring
- Inspect equipment and building systems to identify potential issues before they escalate
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate with outside contractors or vendors when specialized repairs are required
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or in a similar trade role
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building repairs
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods

All of our products are PARVE, Pat Yisroel & Kemach Yoshon (when available). We have become the first Premier Gourmet Glatt Kosher Bakery in Broward County and South Florida combined. The variety of warm pastries, cookies, breads and unique event cakes allow our customers to have a taste of tradition and to share that heritage with those they love.
Our head pastry chef Nissim Sabach uses his 20+ years of experience and his passion for baking to design custom cakes. These cakes are one of a kind and can be made to compliment invitations, color schemes and the overall theme of an event. Although we can create any traditional cake, we specialize in modern and elegant cake designs that become the centerpiece of the party.
