Job Title: Handy Person / General Maintenance Worker
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and skilled handy person to perform general repairs, maintenance, and improvement work. The ideal candidate can work independently, identify problems, complete tasks safely, and maintain a clean work area.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
- Repair doors, locks, cabinets, fixtures, flooring, and other building components.
- Assemble and install furniture, shelving, equipment, and hardware.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and property inspections.
- Troubleshoot maintenance problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Purchase or pick up materials when authorized.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
- Coordinate with licensed contractors when specialized work is required.
- Follow all workplace and safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous handyman, construction, or property-maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repairs.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and perform physical work, including standing, bending, climbing ladders, and working indoors or outdoors.
