    Description

    An established and fast-growing fashion brand is looking for a Handbag Designer to lead the creative direction of its women’s accessory category. This role is perfect for a design professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings both strong aesthetic instincts and technical expertise. You’ll play a key role in shaping seasonal collections, driving innovation, and translating trends into commercially successful product.

    The role is office Monday - Thursday 

    RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Lead end-to-end design and development of women’s accessories across multiple seasons
    • Create original concepts, sketches, and cohesive seasonal direction
    • Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation through production readiness
    • Develop detailed tech packs and specifications for factory execution
    • Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, production, and sourcing teams
    • Research materials, trims, and hardware aligned with cost and design goals
    • Ensure designs meet target margins and FOB requirements
    • Review prototypes and provide feedback on construction, materials, and finishes
    • Monitor market trends, runway influences, and competitor landscape
    • Manage multiple product lines while adhering to deadlines and calendars
    • Present design concepts in internal meetings and buyer reviews
    • Communicate regularly with overseas factories to ensure design accuracy

    REQUIREMENTS 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, or related field preferred
    • 3+ years of handbag design experience
    • Strong knowledge of hard goods construction, materials, and development processes
    • Proven ability to manage design from concept through production
    • Experience creating tech packs and working with overseas factories
    • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
    • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
    • Must be based in Los Angeles
