    Job Description Summary

    Oversight, Administration, and management of 1 Residence Hall and the Residential living experience for approximately 300 residents. This includes direct supervision of student employees. Additional duties include serving as student conduct administrative review officer for Housing. This position is required to be a part of a housing rotating on call duty schedule.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 1 year of experience (or equivalent) in Student Affairs, Higher Ed, or related field.
    • Proficiency with Google docs and Microsoft Office.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Knowledge of StarRez, Maxient and Banner database systems and software.
    • FERPA Training.
    • CPR (training available to incumbent upon hire).
    • Mental Health First Aid (training available to incumbent upon hire).

    Duties

    Specific Duties

    Resident Experience:

    • Assist in managing the overall resident student experience based on the departmental mission focusing on community development; diversity and inclusivity; resident academic success; safe and healthy living environments; leadership development and campus engagement; and proving a fulfilling living experience. This includes responding to interpersonal conflict/needs and counseling needs of residents; managing and implementing programming model and initiatives; as well as engaging, mentoring and overall fostering the development of resident students.

    Percentage Of Time 30% Specific Duties

    Building Operation:

    • Oversee the efficient operation of one on-campus Residential Living Areas. This includes administrative and maintenance/custodial services (i.e. assisting with check-in and check-out of residents, coordination of maintenance service requests by students, hall and room inventories, and assisting with creating and maintaining forms relevant to residence life functions).

    Percentage Of Time 20% Specific Duties

    Supervision:

    • Directly supervise 4-6 and indirectly supervise up an additional 27 Resident Assistants. This includes co-coordinate of the selection, training, and management of on-going meetings with Resident Assistants.

    Percentage Of Time 20% Specific Duties

    Student Conduct:

    • Act as an administrative review officer for student conduct cases for housing. This includes reviewing initial reports, investigating cases, making decisions on responsible/not responsible and assigning sanctions
    • Serve as a Campus Safety Security Authority(CSA) under the Clery Act, is designated to receive and report criminal incidents to the Department of Campus Safety so that they may be included and published in the University's Annual Security Report

    Percentage Of Time 10% Specific Duties

    On-Call Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for participating in a rotating on-call duty schedule. This includes responding to emergency / crisis situations, evaluating situations for appropriate response and reporting.

    • Oversee the use of Living Area Funds and Budgets for student programming and resident experience.
