Position: Salon-Hair Stylist
Department: Retail â Studio G
Primary Responsibilities:
Guest interaction. Understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
Hair cutting, coloring, and styling in accordance with guest requirements
Perform other services as needed including hair extensions, eyelash extensions
Apply makeup using latest techniques including air brush
Keep current on all hair and makeup trends
Sell retail products to our guests.
Secondary Responsibilities:
Light maintenance, cleaning of immediate work space and assist with putting away linen and supplies. Maintain the cleanliness and safety of all work areas at all times
Sanitation of work stations and equipment in accordance with WV cosmetology sanitation standards
To conserve and monitor supplies and assets of Studio G
To attend all scheduled treatment and product knowledge training sessions
To maintain high standards of service and cleanliness
To assist with special projects, events and promotions as needed
To use available time to help with salon operations as requested
To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions
To attend all mandatory lineups, meetings and trainings session as scheduled
Normal Working Hours:
32-40 hours per week in season
Staffing by seniority, requires availability on holidays and 7 day a week operation
2 scheduled days off for full-time, days vary for part time
Available to cover for call ins
In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria:
Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)
Advantage to have experience in cosmetology, esthetics, and retail
High end salon experience
Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification, highest required/preferred, field of study)
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
West Virginia Licensed Cosmetologist or National Cosmetologist License
Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone, in-person, group; Written: memos, documents)
Must be able to express information clearly and communicate in a personable and professional manner
Technical Requirements:
Must be a West Virginia licensed Cosmetologist
Primary skill level desired in hair cutting, coloring, and styling
Strong retail skills is and advantage
Familiar with hair care treatment lines similar to those used at Studio G.
Must adhere to state sanitation laws and requirements.
Must have an ability to learn new services and understand product ingredients.
Must have an understanding of sales and the importance of meeting goals

Must be knowledgeable of products and their benefits
