- An understanding of hair chemistry and the complex chemistry that occurs during coloring and bleaching
- An understanding of mechanisms to prevent radical damage including metal ion control via chelation and addition of radical scavenging antioxidants. Bleach chemistry for hair care
- Expert in oxidative chemistry including hydrogen peroxide/ammonia and hydrogen peroxide/ammonium persulfate oxidant systems
- Understanding of hair chemistry and penetration requirements of chemistry into hair
