Warehouse SupervisorHiring all departments for 2nd shift (2:30pm-11:00pm Monday through Friday)Position OverviewA Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising one or more of the following areas; receiving, inventory, storing, packing, order management and shipping of merchandise. Manages the placement of staffing and provides training to ensure the safety of staff including the handling of equipment and adherence to OSHA guidelines.Essential Job Functions
Lead, motivate, train and support the activities of the warehouse
Ensure that shipping, receiving, storage, order management and/or distribution activities are performed in an efficient manner
Review and use the system tools to monitor the productivity of all associates
Ensure that all necessary precautions are taken to protect warehouse contents against loss and damage
Requires maintenance of records and schedules
Reviews document actions by ensuring forms, reports, logs and records are completed and accurate
Maintains databases
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Manage and control the area to ensure a safe and clean environment
Keep abreast of health and safety strategies
Leads and directs the work of others
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education: Associates Level Degree
Experience: 4+ years experience in managing a distribution center and service operation
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Experience with WMS a plus. Computer proficiency (MS Office). Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions: Distribution Center. Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, kneel and stoop. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
Other Skills/Abilities: Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
