The solicitation requires this individual to hold a bachelor's degree or higher in science or engineering and to be a Certified HACCP Manager — the qualifications the Government uses to confirm a qualified person is supervising sampling and shipping and is competent to review each facility's Water Safety/Management Plan. The Manager directs the quarterly Legionella sampling program across seven VA Medical Centers, oversees culture-based laboratory analysis through a CDC ELITE–certified lab, manages potable-water remediation events on request, ensures all reporting and data-spreadsheet deliverables, and serves as the technical point of contact to the COR and each facility's Technical Manager.
These are hard eligibility requirements and are evaluated. Documentary proof is submitted with the quote.
