HAAS CNC Lathe Setup Technician

Location: Paterson, NJ

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM

Pay Rate: $28.00/hour, depending on experience and skills

What you’ll tackle

• Set up and run HAAS CNC lathes and, when needed, HAAS mills.
• Complete multiple setups daily, dialing in tool lengths and offsets.
• Interpret blueprints/technical drawings to produce parts to spec.
• Execute first-article inspections before releasing jobs to production.
• Machine aluminum and stainless steel while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Make on-the-fly adjustments to hold quality and accuracy.
• Learn and operate additional platforms, including Kiwa machines.
• Follow safety and quality procedures rigorously.
• Maintain a neat, organized work area throughout the shift.

What you’ll bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience with HAAS CNC lathes/mills preferred.
• Experience machining aluminum and stainless steel.
• Mastercam know-how a plus.
• Competence with shop math and geometry.
• Basic computer skills.
• Dependable, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Upbeat attitude and eagerness to learn.
