Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Guidewire Developer with extensive experience in the Property and Casualty (P&C) Commercial Lines domain, specifically with a strong focus on Guidewire Policy Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that enhance our insurance operations. This role requires a deep understanding of insurance processes and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Guidewire Policy Center.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Implement best practices in software development, including coding standards, testing, and documentation.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to P&C insurance and Guidewire.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers.
  • Contribute to project planning and estimation activities.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Strong expertise in P&C Commercial Lines insurance processes.
  • Proficient in Guidewire Policy Center, including configuration and customization.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, SQL, and XML.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other Guidewire products (Billing Center, Claim Center).
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and deployment strategies.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Experience in data migration and integration with third party systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7 10 years of experience in software development, with a focus on P&C insurance.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary:

Full-time: The pay range for this role is $115k - $120k per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
