Essential Functions
Coordinate the course selection process for students.
Prepare and publish final academic schedules for all students.
Schedule annual oneâonâone meetings with students.
Oversee student IEPs and accommodation plans and partner with parents and students to secure appropriate LEA support.
Publish updates from the School Counseling Department with information on academic success, college and career resources, scholarships, and financial aid opportunities.
Track college and career outcomes, including acceptances, attendance/career direction, and scholarship or award totals.
Maintain active office hours for students and parents.
Prepare quarterly, semester, and final reports on student progress.
Coordinate the review and production of student transcripts.
Serve in additional capacities as requested by the Principal.
Position Qualifications
Master’s degree in school counseling or a related field, or current enrollment in a Master’s program in counseling or a related field.
Possession of, or the ability to obtain, Maryland School Counselor licensure.
Understanding of the social, emotional, educational, and developmental needs of highâschool–aged students.
Ability to support and uphold Catholic moral and social teaching and the mission of Catholic schools.
Prior experience in school counseling, college admissions, or teaching is preferred.
Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills, with the ability to relate to diverse personalities.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands
The position requires the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work.
May involve some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of objects and materials (5–50 pounds).
May require extended periods of standing or sitting at a keyboard or workstation.
May involve repetitive motions (e.g., typing).
May involve walking long distances and climbing stairs.

Pay Range: $50,000 - $70,000, Annualized
