    Major Responsibilities and Duties: Instructional Strategies

    1. Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the absent teacher or designated staff and any special duties assigned (bus duty, hall duty, lunch/recess duty, etc.)
    2. Follow lesson plans and daily responsibilities of the absent employee to ensure continuity for student learning, routines, and rotations.
    3. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in assigned subject area(s).
    4. Use appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, materials, equipment, and technology that reflect understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned, and present subject matter according to the lesson plans.
    5. Work cooperatively with teachers to modify curriculum for students as needed or noted in lesson plans.
    6. Work with other members of staff to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods according to district requirements where needed.
    7. May need to cover other classes during conference period. Student Growth and Development
    8. Be a positive role model for students; support mission of campus and school district.

    14. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
    15. Maintain a clean and orderly classroom and follow the classroom and school procedures as directed by the school.
