CHRISTIAN PURPOSE AND EXPECTATIONS:

All employees proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through their employment, and thereby further BGEA’s religious mission.

Department Detail –The Billy Graham Library supports the mission of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association to proclaim the Gospel to all we can by every effective means available to us, and by equipping the church and others to do the same. Our staff and volunteers present the Gospel through the Journey of Faith tour, Memorial Prayer Garden, Homeplace, and evangelistic outreaches like Christmas at the Library. We also serve and equip Christians through Ruth’s Attic bookstore, Graham Brothers Dairy Bar, group programs, special events, memorabilia displays, student resources, communications, and donor ministry activities.

Job Summary –The Guest Services Associate delivers exceptional customer service by warmly welcoming guests, providing accurate information and directions, and serving as the face of the Billy Graham Library. This role fosters a professional and caring environment that supports Mr. Graham’s ongoing crusade within the Library. This role is classified as an Associate position, defined as working no more than 19 hours per week.

Ministry Requirements

• Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Faithfully upholds BGEA in prayer
• Participates in daily BGEA staff devotions including Bible reading, and leading group prayer as schedule permits
• Demonstrates behavior aligned with BGEA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Hallmarks, policies, and expectations
• Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets tour groups upon arrival at the Billy Graham Library and provides information to enhance their visit
• Develops a strong understanding of the ministry, the Library’s operations, and all informational materials
• Demonstrates a friendly and approachable demeanor while providing accurate information, answering questions, and addressing individual guest needs
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment, including the welcome center and lobby, ensuring all materials, supplies, and equipment are properly stocked and in place
• Collects surveys and verifies that all required information is complete
• Assists with carriage rides, parking lot operations, and crowd control as needed
• Responsible for opening, operating, and closing computer systems as assigned
• Covers all Guest Services areas as assigned by Manager on Duty
• Reports any issues to the Manager on Duty promptly

• High School diploma required
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Strong verbal communication skills

• We believe God wonderfully and immutably creates each person a biological male or female.  These two distinct, but complementary sexes together reflect the image and likeness of God.  Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of God’s merciful design and creative order.  (Genesis 1:26-27; Mark 10:6; 1 Corinthians 6:9; Deuteronomy 22:5).

• I understand that I must exhibit conduct that is consistent with BGEA’s expectations, whether at work or away from work, in keeping with scriptural teachings and principles as set forth in God’s Word, BGEA’s Statement of Faith, and BGEA’s policies including Christian Conduct.
• I understand that BGEA has the right and the responsibility to ensure that its Christian religious purpose is carried on with the highest standards and is not harmed or impeded by conduct that is inconsistent with the Bible, BGEA’s Statement of Faith, its Christian religious purpose, or its policies
