Guest Room/Public Area Attendant

Location: Clevelander Hotel South Beach

Summary:

Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and employee areas throughout the hotel. Ensures rooms and common areas meet hotel cleanliness and quality standards while providing friendly and responsive service to guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Cleans and maintains guest rooms, including bedrooms, bathrooms, furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
• Sweeps, mops, vacuums, dusts, and cleans public areas including hallways, stairwells, elevators, restrooms, lobby, terrace, and other common areas.
• Replenishes guest room amenities, towels, linens, and supplies as needed.
• Cleans and sanitizes guest and employee restrooms and other designated areas.
• Removes trash and maintains cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, floor closets, and storage areas.
• Responds to guest requests and delivers requested items such as towels, blankets, and amenities.
• Reports maintenance issues, room deficiencies, safety concerns, and unusual situations to management.
• Maintains and properly uses cleaning equipment, supplies, keys, and hotel property.
• Follows all safety, sanitation, and housekeeping policies and procedures.
• Maintains a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor with guests and team members.
• Works cooperatively with the housekeeping team and assists with other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Six months of experience required.

• Ability to be proactive and multitask.
• Ability to verbally communicate with others.
• Knowledge of general housekeeping practices, with the ability to follow safety guidelines and maintain professional behavior.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to take directions from others and work for long periods of time.

Working Conditions:

• Work is not performed in an office environment and requires evening, holiday, weekday, and weekend hours.
