GUEST MINISTRIES SHIFT MANAGER Safe Harbor – Division for Men. Safe Harbor Division for Men is looking to hire a Christian man to fill a full-time Guest Ministries Shift Manager position. The Guest Ministries Shift Manager oversees the Guest Care and Guest Safety teams while being available to provide physical security for the Milwaukee Rescue Mission (MRM).
WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time, 4 days 12:30pm-8:30pm & 1 day 2:00pm-10:00pm, with 1 rotating weekend day per month
LOCATION: Central Campus, 830 N 19th Street, Milwaukee, WI. 53233
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Oversee and supervise the Guest Care and Guest Safety teams
- Reinforce and manage work performance of Guest Care and Guest Safety staff
- Responsible for developing schedules and administration of time and attendance for direct reports
- Interact with and build positive, life transforming relationships with guests
- Manage and care for guests participating in Vocational Initiative Services (VIS)
- Manage and maintain VIS dorm area
- Understand and enforce all operational policies and procedures
- Reinforce staff development and training
- Assist with interviewing applicants and making hiring decisions for Guest Ministries staff openings
- Help ensure guests understand and follow premise rules and regulations
- Request assistance from emergency personnel for high-risk situations
- Make decisions related to the removal of guests if necessary
- If necessary, remove or assist in removing any person engaged in suspicious or criminal acts
- Help identify and report any security or maintenance concerns
- Perform first aid and/or life saving measures if necessary
QUALIFICATIONS: - Christian man with a servant's heart who is able to relate well with others in a diverse population
- High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in applicable field (social work, theology, education) preferred
- 2-3 years management/supervisory experience preferred
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate instructions and coach team members for performance excellence
- Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Detail orientated with strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain calm demeanor and think fast in the face of a crisis or dispute
- Ability to case note clearly and according to best practices
- Computer literacy and the ability to navigate industry software
- Good report writing skills
- Ability to handle physical workload and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability, dependability, and punctuality are expected
- Have a genuine concern for the salvation and spiritual welfare for all those encountered though the ministry of MRM, seeking to model and share the hope of the gospel within the established responsibilities of this position
