Job Summary: The GTC Manager oversees all Graphical Technical Center operations, ensuring consistent quality, safety, and production performance. This role provides technical support, process improvement, and supervisory oversight to meet customer expectations and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a zero-incident workplace by promoting safety, housekeeping, and compliance using Lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings and ensure the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Manage inventory levels to meet customer press schedules while achieving company inventory targets.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for weighing, dispensing, and blending inks to meet customer quality and color standards.
  • Perform color matching and maintain accurate customer color formulation files.
  • Monitor and manage obsolete materials and press returns while ensuring proper documentation.
  • Coordinate scheduling and assignments for GTC staff to maintain service continuity and minimize overtime costs.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ink related or press related issues.
  • Document and communicate technical issues and corrective actions to the Technical Service Representative.
  • Maintain and update the Action Register for process and quality improvements.
  • Prepare and maintain manufacturing and quality control records, including press adjustments, downtime logs, and corrective action reports.
  • Assist with Graphic Technician duties as needed to support production goals.
  • Supervise and evaluate Graphic Technician performance, approve timecards, and recommend promotions or salary adjustments.
Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong technical knowledge of ink formulation, blending, and color matching in a manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and safety compliance practices.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead, schedule, and guide production technicians.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with technical and production teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
