The Role

Marketing runs the channels we already know work, and runs them well. This role does something different. We have an audience most companies our size would have to buy, and more than one thing to sell it.

Your job is to connect the two through channels we own rather than channels we pay for - routes to customers that get cheaper as the base grows, not more expensive.

What You Will Own

• New channels, not new spend. Identify, build and prove routes to customers that we own rather than pay for, including ones that need a product built rather than a budget spent.
• The referral program. Own it end to end - incentive design, tracking, payout, and the abuse controls that decide whether a program survives contact with reality.
• Reasons to come back. Build products that earn a repeat visit and a way to stay in touch.
• Conversion into what we already sell. An engaged user is not the finish line. Own the path from engagement to a first transaction on an existing Xe product.
• A test budget, used as a test budget. You will have spend available to establish whether a channel is real. It is an experiment cost, not a media budget.
• The handover. A channel leaves Growth once it is predictable, repeatable and documented. Marketing runs it from there. Own the transfer and the evidence behind it.

Examples of What You Might Build

Illustrative, not committed. What actually gets built is decided by evidence.

• Turn someone our product already touches into an account holder.
• Build the mechanics that let a third party introduce clients and share in the revenue.
• Give someone a reason to tell us how they want to be reached, and treat that as the moment we learn who they are.
• Use a contained paid test to establish whether a channel is real before anyone scales it.

Who You Are

• You have built an acquisition channel from nothing to material volume, and you can show the numbers.
• You think in loops and can model one - inputs, conversion at each step, cycle time, and what breaks it at scale.
• You have designed incentives and dealt with the abuse that follows them.
• You have built engagement or identity-capture products, and you know the difference between a signup form and a reason to sign up.
• You are comfortable that most channels you test will not work, and disciplined about stopping them.
• You can work alongside Marketing and regional revenue leaders without needing to own their budgets.

How We Work

• Loops over funnels. We look for mechanisms that compound rather than channels that need constant topping up.
• Evidence over opinion. Every initiative carries a hypothesis, a measurement plan agreed with data engineering, and a written readout - including the negatives.
• Small teams, short cycles. One PM, one engineer, and whatever design and data support the test needs.
• Direct line to Product. When a proven change needs building into the core product, that is a conversation with Product, not a hand-built parallel system.

Compensation

Xe offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated pay for this Salary Exempt or Non-exempt hourly rate role ranges from $140,000 USD to $180,000 USD.

Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Xe offers comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role, including healthcare, dental and vision benefits, a 401(k) plan, Paid Vacation / Sick Leave and more.
