We are looking for a highly skilled and technically proficient AI Infrastructure Supply Chain Manager to lead our procurement and supply chain operations for high-performance computing (HPC) systems. The ideal candidate will possess recent expertise in HPC, demonstrated technical acumen, excellent communication skills, supplier landscape knowledge and relationships, experience in managing complex supply chains and be comfortable working in a demanding, fast paced, dynamic environment. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive procurement processes and ensure coordination between engineering, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

  • Procurement Leadership: Lead the end-to-end procurement process for HPC systems, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships. Ensure that all technical requirements and specifications meet or exceed Design for Manufacturing (DfM) on PCBAs
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management experience in engineering and/or supply chain management roles, with a focus on AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, PCBAs, memory, storage nodes, data centers, and indirect procurement. In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices within the technology sector
  • Technical Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of high-performance computing systems, including GPUs, CPUs, servers, networking, and storage technologies, to make informed procurement recommendations. Collaborate closely with engineering teams to understand technical requirements and ensure the acquisition of the best-fit solutions
  • Project Management: Drive complex procurement projects to meet timelines and business goals, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing key supplier relationships to ensure performance, quality, and cost efficiency
  • Risk Management: Proactively manage supply chain risks by monitoring supplier performance, identifying alternative sourcing options, and ensuring business continuity. Leverage data analysis to uncover trends, drive improvements, and support cost-saving initiatives, while providing regular performance reports to executive management
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct in supplier interactions
  • Lead supplier quotations as the commercial expert
  • Owner of RFQ/P's and contract management - ensure bid events are unbiased, submittals appropriately analyzed / leveled, contracts are negotiated, agreed, approved and appropriately documented before business is initiated
  • Drive negotiation for piece price and product development to ensure that Tesla's pricing meets best-landed-cost expectations as well as Supplier Industrialization standards of Best-In-Class quality
  • Bachelor's degree in or relevant experience in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or Engineering (Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related field) with evidence of exceptional ability
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in progressive engineering and/or supply chain management roles, with a focus on AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, PCBAs, memory, storage nodes, data centers, and indirect procurement. In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices within the technology sector
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage teams and projects under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commercial knowledge and demonstrated bid leveling capabilities
  • Occasional travel (up to 25%) to meet with vendors, suppliers, or to other company locations
  • In person presence in Palo Alto or Fremont company locations

Expected Compensation

$164,000 - $288,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
