Schedule: Monday Friday | 7: 30 AM 4: 00 PM
Position: Full-Time, Year-Round
Associated Staffing is hiring a Groundskeeper for a local school district in Schuyler. This full-time, year-round position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining safe, clean and attractive grounds.
Responsibilities
Mow, trim, edge, and maintain lawns, playgrounds, athletic fields and landscaped areas
Plant, water, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers and other landscaping
Prepare and maintain athletic fields for practices and sporting events
Remove weeds, leaves, litter, branches and other debris from school grounds
Inspect outdoor areas for safety hazards and report maintenance needs
Operate and maintain equipment including mowers, tractors, trimmers, blowers, chainsaws and utility vehicles
Perform seasonal duties such as snow and ice removal and sidewalk salting
Assist with setup and teardown for school events and activities
Complete minor repairs to fences, playground equipment, irrigation systems, benches and other outdoor fixtures
Qualifications
Ability to work outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
Experience operating lawn care and grounds maintenance equipment preferred
Ability to safely perform physical work, including lifting, walking, bending and standing for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
