Position Summary
Under immediate supervision, perform campus landscaping maintenance in a group or independently to establish a safe environment around the campus. This position works outdoors and will be exposed to seasonal changes in weather.Duties & Responsibilities
•Knowledge of operating motorized equipment such as mowers, line trimmer, edger, hedger, chainsaw, thatcher, aerator, and leaf blower.
•Knowledge of tractor and skid steer.
•Knowledge of irrigation controls, irrigation systems, and irrigation repairs.
•Perform trimming around sidewalks, flower beds, and walkways. Trimming and pruning trees and shrubs. Clearing leaves and debris throughout the campus.
•Understand how to mix and apply fertilizer, herbicides, insecticides, and two cycle gas mix in accordance with safety standards.
•Maintenance of tools and equipment.
•Maintenance of bleachers, picnic tables, and other surfaces, to include graffiti removal around the campus.
•Participate in team projects and other related duties of a similar nature and level at all CNM campuses.
•Establishes and maintains constructive and cooperative interpersonal relationships with staff, peers, supervisors, or managers in the work unit and other departments, as well as with staff of outside entities and other individuals, as applicable to the essential duties and responsibilities
•Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
•High school diploma or GED and previous experience preferred.
