Work Schedule: Days with Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm
Summary:
Maintain the exterior of the hospital, as well as Mercy Satellites, with emphasis on snow removal, shrubbery, flowers, hedges and grounds.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION:
- High school graduate or GED preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Two (2) years experience as a groundskeeper required OR
- Five (5) years of experience nursery/landscaping required
- Valid NYS driver's license required and maintained.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
- Must know when to plant, seed and fertilize.
- Must have knowledge of type and care of flowers and greenery.
- Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate safe operation of power equipment such as front-end loader, tractors, mowers, snow removal equipment, powered sprayers, etc.
- Will be required to climb ladders
- Must be hard working
- Must be able to spend long hours outside
