 Groundskeeper / Porter - Part Time, Saturday & Sunday Only   Location: Charlotte, NC (Mixed Affordable & Senior Housing)Pay: $25.00 per hourStatus: Full-Time Role OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundskeeper to maintain the "curb appeal" and safety of our 334-unit residential community. This role is vital to providing our senior and low-income residents with a clean, prideful place to call home. You will be the "eyes and ears" of the property, ensuring all outdoor areas and common spaces are pristine and hazard-free. Primary ResponsibilitiesDaily Property Upkeep: Walk the grounds daily to remove litter, debris, and pet waste from lawns, parking lots, and breezeways.Safety & Accessibility: Ensure all walkways and ramps-especially in senior-designated areas-are clear of trip hazards, leaves, and ice/snow during winter.Curb Appeal: Pressure wash buildings, clean leasing office glass, and maintain the tidiness of dumpster areas and compactor enclosures.Unit Turns: Assist the maintenance team in "trash-outs" (removing abandoned items) from vacant units to help prepare them for new residents.Basic Maintenance: Perform light tasks such as changing exterior light bulbs, assisting with mulch distribution, and minor touch-up painting.Resident Service: Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with our senior residents and families. QualificationsExperience: Previous experience in groundskeeping, janitorial, or general labor preferred (apartment experience is a plus).Driver's License: Must possess a valid Driver's License and have reliable transportation to get to work daily.Physical Ability: Must be able to work outdoors in all weather (NC heat/rain), lift up to 50 lbs, and remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.Reliability: Strong attendance record and a "can-do" attitude toward repetitive tasks. Why Join Us?Competitive pay at $25/hr.Stable, consistent Monday–Friday schedule.The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on an affordable housing community.
