Groundskeeper - Avista Resort

Job Description: The grounds maintenance personnel will keep public property areas clean, safe, and organized, using equipment such as hand tools and power tools. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, collecting trash, sweeping, and wiping down outdoor items. Shift: Days & Afternoons Part-Time & Full-Time

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

·         Empties all trash chutes, trash cans, and parking lot as needed

·         Sweeps and power washes as needed

·         Mowing, weed eating, trimming, laying sod, planting & watering flowers, fertilizer, and other landscaping duties

·         Operates the trash compactor

·         Maintain and keep inventory on all equipment

·         Keep work spaces clean and hazard free

·         Perform other light maintenance work orders as assigned such as changing light bulbs, painting, assisting in moving furniture, etc.

·         Immediately report any building issues seen while performing daily tasks

·         Effective and professional communication with guests and other team members

Requirements:

·         Valid Driver’s License

·         Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays

·         Previous experience is preferred but not required

·         Able to stand for long periods of time
