Position Overview
West End Terrace Apartments is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Grounds Technician to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of our apartment community.
This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekends and is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining property standards.
Location: West End Terrace Apartments | 261 White Bridge Road | Nashville, TN 37209
Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Part-time | Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM | ~40 Hours Per Week
Reporting To: Property Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Property Maintenance
Remove trash from buildings and common areas
Walk grounds to remove litter and debris
Maintain dumpster areas
Keep breezeways and common areas clean
Groundskeeping
Operate blowers, rakes, and basic equipment
Maintain curb appeal and cleanliness
Assist with seasonal tasks (leaf removal, etc.)
Unit Turnover Support
Assist with trash-outs of vacated units
Prepare units for new residents
Light Maintenance Support
Replace exterior light bulbs
Assist with minor work orders as needed
Safety & Compliance
Report safety hazards immediately
Follow proper equipment and safety procedures
Resident Relations
Interact professionally with residents and visitors
Assist with communication distribution as needed
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver's license
Reliable transportation
Ability to pass background and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
6-12 months groundskeeping or maintenance experience
Experience in apartment communities or similar environments
Familiarity with basic tools and outdoor equipment
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Stand/walk for extended periods
