QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum experience as determined by the board
Ability to supervise and coordinate the activities of grounds staff
Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance and management, and school safety
Require criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
3+ years of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, horticulture, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
Working knowledge of irrigation systems, grounds maintenance practices, and landscape equipment.
Experience operating and maintaining lawn and groundskeeping equipment.
Experience managing employee performance, coaching, and disciplinary processes.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, pull, and perform physical work throughout the shift.
Availability to work Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM, with flexibility for weather-related events and snow removal operations.

SUPERVISES: All grounds keeping staff
JOB GOAL:
To provide students and staff with a physical environment that is healthy, safe and efficiently operated.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and support a team of Groundskeepers and oversee daily work assignments
Coordinate and monitor grounds-related subcontractors to ensure quality service delivery
Ensure all athletic field needs are met for all district wide sports in coordination with the Athletic Director
Conduct daily inspection of complete work and identify service gaps or operational needs.
Assist with grounds maintenance activities as needed, including mowing, trimming, weeding, planting, and seasonal cleanup.
Support irrigation system operation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Plan and coordinate snow removal activities, staffing, equipment readiness, and contractor support.
Inspect district wide grounds regularly to identify safety concerns, maintenance needs, or landscaping improvements.
Ensure grounds operations meet district expectations and contractual requirements
Train, coach and develop employees while addressing performance and disciplinary matter with Director of Facilities when necessary.
Operate and oversee the use of groundskeeping equipment, lawn mowers, tractors, utility vehicles and related tools.
Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment and materials as needed.
Utilize work order system to communicate updates and track operational performance.
Collaborate with Aramark leadership to maintain a high-quality district wide environment.
Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Perform tasks such as planting, mowing, weeding, fertilizing, sweeping, raking, salting, shoveling, removing ice, etc.
Oversee setting up and breaking down furnishings for school related events and testing
Assisting the Maintenance department as needed
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities
