    FII USA, Inc., a Foxconn Technology Group Company, is seeking a Grounds Lead to support the Facilities Department by coordinating and performing daily maintenance activities for campus grounds, roadways, parking lots, walkways, and outdoor areas. Once a part of the team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks in an outdoor facilities environment and have the opportunity to display leadership, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills to support campus operations.

    The Grounds Lead serves as a working lead for the grounds team, assisting the Roads & Grounds Supervisor with daily coordination, task execution, and on-the-job guidance. This role provides operational leadership and support but does not have formal supervisory authority.

    Responsibilities


    • Serve as the working lead for daily grounds, roadway, and outdoor maintenance activities.
    • Assist the Roads & Grounds Supervisor with coordinating and assigning daily work tasks.
    • Provide on-the-job guidance, support, and informal training to grounds team members.
    • Perform routine grounds maintenance including mowing, trimming, pruning, mulching, planting, and debris removal.
    • Inspect and maintain roadways, parking lots, sidewalks, and walkways to identify safety hazards and maintenance needs.
    • Support minor surface repairs and general outdoor maintenance as needed.
    • Lead and participate in seasonal operations, including spring/fall cleanup and winter snow and ice removal.
    • Operate snow removal equipment including plows, salt spreaders, and related machinery.
    • Monitor and support irrigation systems, identifying malfunctions and reporting issues.
    • Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with company safety procedures.
    • Identify hazards and promptly correct or report unsafe conditions.
    • Operate and maintain grounds equipment including mowers, tractors, trimmers, plows, and utility vehicles.
    • Perform basic equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs.
    • Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained in safe working condition.
    • Communicate daily updates, issues, and completed work to the Roads & Grounds Supervisor.
    • Coordinate with other departments regarding grounds-related service needs.
    • Maintain accurate logs and documentation related to grounds and seasonal operations.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications


    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • 2–3 years of experience in grounds, landscaping, roadway, or facilities maintenance required.
    • Experience operating heavy equipment and snow removal equipment required.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
    • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
