OVERVIEW: The Ground Clinical Education Manager, in conjunction with the Director of Education, is accountable for the development, implementation, and oversight of initial and continuing education for clinical employees and ensuring that required competencies are adhered to. Will be required to drive personal or company vehicles whenever and wherever business needs are necessary. This is a safety-sensitive position.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The Clinical Education Manager is accountable for the development, implementation, and oversight of initial and continuing education for clinical employees, ensuring required competencies are adhered to The Clinical Education Manager is responsible for ensuring clinical policies and protocols align with CAAS standards, and applicable state and national regulations In addition, this position coordinates in-house education events and maintains proficiency in the role of Paramedic, EMT, AEMT.Organize and facilitate onboarding sessions Required to drive personal or company vehicles whenever and wherever business needs necessitate Demonstrated positive interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, patients, families, physicians, and the community Keeps current records of licenses, credentials, and certifications of all clinical crew membersReviews of transport involving advanced procedures and/or any charts referred for additional follow-up to ensure they adhere to the highest clinical standardsOversee maintenance of employee educational files, including, but not limited to, all licenses, advanced procedures, clinical rotations, training, credentials, and certificationsUpdates education records after each in-service and clinical meeting Schedules and organizes basic and advanced skills reviewSchedules for recertification classesImplements and oversee the orientation of all new clinical crew membersAttend meetings and participate on committees as requestedEnsure medical personnel are oriented and trained in new aviation and medical equipmentEnsures the contents of the clinical orientation binder are up-to-date and relevantPreserve safety and risk management culture and rules Report on all concerns related to safety and risk management immediately, working with the Director of Safety and Risk Management, Director of Quality Management, and others, as needed Works closely with HR, Compliance, and QualityAssist with special projects Other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Provided experience in the EMS fieldIndustry CertificationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to operate a computer/keyboard at least 6-8 hours dailyRegularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand,walk; use hands to fingers; handle or feel; and reach with hands and armsAbility to lift and move 50 pounds.REPORTS TO: Director of Education
