Job Responsibility
- Process customer grocery orders efficiently and accurately- in person and online ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Customer service focused: addresses customer needs in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones promptly and courteously.
- Manage and maintain Pastry section
- Follow all cash handling procedures – meeting cashier variance policy.
- Maximize sales through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
Job Skills
- Demonstrates patience, respect and curtesy with customers and Team Members
- Excellent understanding of US monetary system
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team
- Strong Computer skills- ability to learn POS system and operate scales
- Strong work ethic & works with a sense of urgency.
- Strong attention to detail
Experience
- 1-3 years prior retail experience desired, training provided
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
- Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
