Standby Personnel is hiring a Grinder that will be operating grinding equipment to shape, smooth, and finish metal or other materials according to specifications. This role involves inspecting parts, maintaining equipment, and ensuring products meet quality standards while following safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate grinding machines and hand-held grinding tools.
- Remove excess material, burrs, rough edges, and imperfections from parts.
- Read and follow work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
- Measure and inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of grinding equipment.
- Identify defects and report issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a safe and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or grinding experience is a plus.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers and gauges.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:- Frequent standing, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or shop environment with exposure to dust, noise, and vibration.
